Nancy
Nancy Greenwald, your host, is a horticulturist and garden designer with over 35 years experience in New York's Hamptons. In 2003, Nancy moved to the Hudson Valley where she found and renovated an old farmhouse in the quaint hamlet of High Falls. She decided to open The Arbor with the hope of providing guests a home away from home in the countryside.

High Falls
High Falls is a small, quiet, tight-knit community with a rich history. From the creation of the D&H Canal to the discovery of cement, High Falls grew out of the need to accommodate workers and their families, a growing economy, and new industries. Today, it is home to farmers, artisans, and those seeking a peaceful life in the country.
Fun Facts: In the mid-1940s, High Falls was home to world-renowned artist Marc Chagall, who completed over 90 pieces of work while living here. In 1960, Hollywood came calling when it needed locations to shoot Splendor in the Grass, starring Warren Beatty and Natalie Wood.
Although the hamlet might be on the smaller size, there are plenty of things to do in and around High Falls. Check out the local restaurants, art galleries, and shops. Take a stroll on the Five Locks Walk and get a glimpse back in time. Or, get a taste of the region's natural beauty and explore the vast network of hiking and climbing trails at the Mohonk Preserve and Minnewaska State Park, both of which are minutes away. Hop in the car and visit Stone Ridge, Rosendale, New Paltz, Kingston, and Woodstock.
